Keep These in Mind
  • · Eat a light dinner the day before the examination and do not eat anything, including water, gum, and cigarettes, after 9pm. Brushing your teeth is fine.
  • · If you have been taking medicine every day for high blood pressure or heart diseases, take the medicine with a small amount of water and inform your doctor at the time of diagnosis. You should not take any other medicines.
  • · Collect your stools in a black container, about the size of a pea, in the evening before the examination or the morning of the examination day.
  • · In a white container, receive the first sputum on the morning of the examination. (NOT urine!)
  • · We will collect your urine to a separate container at the hospital during the examination, so please refrain from urinating before the ultrasound examination.
  • · The examination takes about 1 to 2 hours, and it takes 1 to 2 hours more if you decide to receive a painless (sleep) endoscopy.
  • · Do not drive after the examination.
  • · Biopsy may be performed under the judgment of the doctor during the endoscopy. (Additional cost will be charged for the biopsy.)
  • · Completed health questionnaire form and black and white containers with the collected stools and sputum.
  • · You may need your medical insurance card when you visit the hospital on the day the result comes out, so please bring it with you.
